Today it all began... woke up at 6am, my parents drove me to Munich airport where I had my last German breakfast for a long time: Bavarian sausages and of course a Brezel! Our flight left at 2pm on time and after 3h and 40min we were in Reykjavík. Our Airline was Iceland Air - quite an adventure! The seats where at least 30 years old and we had to buy our meals on the plane... No one really knew that! Also they provided Ipads during the flight so we could watch a movie. Watched the Grand Budapest Hotel which is actually really boring! The landing in Reykjavík was pretty though as it was raining like hell and had about 11 degrees celcius. Glad that we had our connecting flight to Newark. Another 5h and 15 minutes which passed real quick as we had better seats and a better entertainment system. Immigration went great, now we are in our Airbnb in New Jersey, its 22.46pm local time and we are really knocked out. Excited for tomorrow! Hope the weather stays good, at the moment its shirt-weather.

Heute ging's dann endlich los. Bin jetzt schon gefühlt 48h auf den Beinen und leicht kaputt. Flug war ok, aber schon ein Erlebnis mit Iceland Air - alte Sitze, Ipads als Entertainment und keine Verpflegung. Gut dass wir nur einen One-way-Flug gebucht haben. Von München ging es nach Reykjavík und von dort nach Newark. In Island hat es wirklich nur geschüttet, siehe Foto oben, und in den USA gabs als Willkommensgruß rosa Wolken. Jetzt fallen wir tot ins Bett... morgen gibt's ja schließlich viel zu sehen!
