"Clap along if you feel like a room without a rooooof - because I'm happyyyyy..."

This morning Gerardo took me to "Mama's" which more or less is THE restaurant in San Francisco!! I didn't know that we are going there so this was a great surprise for me! The waiting line was around one hour and we waited a bit longer but it was sooo worth it!! We shared eggs benedikt and I had french toast with oranges and berries on top. Gerardo had Monte Cristo which was some sort of a sandwich which was baked and crispy and - hell yeah! That place tho!!!

After being in foodcoma we drove to Berkeley because I wanted to go to Big C. This is a big swing with a great view over Berkeley and the bay area. Buuut unfortunately there is no swing anymore. We hiked and our shoes were sooo freaking dirty but at least we got a great view!

After the exhausting hike - not really but we assumed it was - we went for icecream to Fenton's. I had pumpkin icecream the last time I went there so I had the same again. Very delicious. Gerardo had a sundae which is icecream with a topping, cream and some crunchy nuts.

We drove home and tonight I went with Jana, Meikel, Sarah, Andrea and Hera to the university. We first watched a bit of the basketball game but as we bought tickets for a dance show we went there shortly after the game began. The dance show started kind of weird... But then there was an impro theater scene and someone making musik and reading stories and in the end everyone had to dance. It was fun!!

Tomorrow is one of the last times I am able to go to San Francisco... It's almost time to say goodbye to San Fran...

In der Weihnachtsbäckerei

Today I woke up suuuper late - yeaaah no class, nothing more to doooo! Woopwoop!
So this was my breakfast:

I went grocery shopping with Gerardo's car and with Andrea because tonigh our and Tom's apartment made this huuuuge dinner and we also made Glühwein! Sooo gooood! We tried a spinach, salmon dish with cheese on top and had noodels and smashed potatos as a side dish. For desert we had pumkin or apple pie. The Glühwein was really good and made all of us pretty tipsy.

We also gave each other presents: everyone had around 2 weeks to buy a present for a person he or she picked. But when giving us the presents there was none for Ines but two for Sarah. I was like - what the hell? :-D But Tom made a nice joke and wrapped my present 5 times saying several names on it so in the end I got one too ;-)

We sang christmas songs and played "Cards against humanity" - nice evening!!

Yesterday was a cool day! I woke up early as I had my last presentation in the course "Fundamentals of purchasing" and our group paper was due the same date. We were a group of 8 persons which is rather hard to organize. Some of them almost never showed up in class and communication with them was kind of unorganized. Whatever - it is over and went ok. Still don't get it how some business major students are not able to present. Some of my group were reading their whole paragraph from the paper they brought with them and you could see on the faces in the crowd that people were kind of confused. Bad when the whole group gets only one grade... hope that it will be ok. Nevertheless, this was my usual breakfast!

I went to gym before class and after class Gerardo picked me up. We went to the "Exploratorium" in San Francisco. It is like an art musem but more focusing on senses: what you hear, see, feel. Very cool stuff to do with magnets or lights or water. Every thursday evening the exhibition is only opened for adults - kids free zone! Which is good because it was pretty crowded and with kids it would have been awful. But it was really cool! I liked it a lot! Before going there I was hungry so we did a quick drive thru at In and out burger ;-)

After the exhibition we were hungry again and wanted to go to Tony's pizza but it was super crowded. They have another store a few meters away were they serve slides of their pizza which are super huge! It was a great day! Really enjoyed the exhibition and that I don't have to go to classes anymore. There is only one assignment left until wednesday which I have almost finished - yeahyeahyeah!

Can't buy me love

Today after breakfast I went to San Francisco with Gizem.

We did some shopping. I wanted to look for Christmas gifts but ended up only buying stuff for me ;-) Oooops! I bought 2 pairs of jeans, a nice green sweater and a niiiice lipstick at MAC. Totally in love with Urban Outfitters but why the hell has everything be so expensive in there??

We went to had Thai for lunch.

As I had to attend some presentations today we weren't back that late. There was a presentation about GMO's and we got these cookies for free... So goood!

I skyped with my dad while having dinner. Tomorrow ist my last day of university - yeaaaah! Sooo excited!

A sky full of stars!

I stayed at Gerardo's place over night and headed to my place back in the morning to do laundry and to work on another presentation which is due on thursday. It was raining like hell which didn't stop us from walking to the laundry room to find out that there wasn't enough money on it to dry the clothes in the dryer later. Soooo while waiting for the laundry to be done I had breakfast.

Then I went to upload money on our laundry card which usally is very simple - insert card, insert money - finished! But this time the stupid machine didn't want to accept my bill. I tried it around 5 times until the machine decided to not give me my card back. So I had to walk in an rather embarrasing outfit which consisted of black/white leggings, brown boots, grey sweater and blue raincoat to the office where a guy helped me to somehow take the card out of the machine (that was after he looked at my outfit and was kind of confused). After finished the laundry I worked on the presentation. I had class at 2 and the professor had a look at our presentation draft. We still have to change a lot of things, just hope it somehow works! I am finished with 2 of 3 courses. In the last one I currently have 123 out of 125 points, guess working at Mercedes helped me to get better knowledge about purchasing ;-)
After class Gerardo picked me up and we did so much stuff: we returned some items at the post, also I dropped a bunch of christmas cards there. Then we went to UPS because I had to return a rented book to Amazon. When leaving UPS an older woman in her car pulled the window down, smiled at us and said to me that I have a very nice boyfried who opens the door for me and she hasn't seen that in a while and yeaaah I guess she liked you Gerardo ;-)
I was craving sweets so we went to Panera. Thanks to our customer card we have a free pastry. Buuut the guy there said that it expired. I guess my sad looking face influenced him but we got that one for free ;-) hahaa! Then we went to Walmart and after that to Taco Bell for some Nachos which we ate on our way home.

Gerardo just cooked dinner and now I am blogging while he is making some Mexican hot chocolate which I will eat with my pastry!! Yeaaah!

Surrender

Yesterday I woke up early, had breakfast and then got around 200 messages from my group. We had an important presentation in the evening and still weren't finished...

After working on the presentation I decided to go to the gym. The weather looked really sunny for first of december!

I cooked some Thai curry before Gerardo picked me up and we went to the bank to get one last check for our last rent here... Weird feeling!

I was craving coffee so hard so he took me to this great place!

The presentation in the evening was good, still waiting for our grade but we have a good feeling! Happy tuesday everyone!

Hold on, we're going home

Yesterday I woke up not so late as I wanted to get some things done.

After breakfast I started to sort some mails and prepare for my groups meeting in the evening. As most of my group members came straight from work we decided to combine work with food. We went to a pizza place not far from the university. These were only slices... big portions for big girls ;-)

We worked on our presentation until we more or less got kicked out. The presentation is today - keep your fingers crossed that we kill it!!
